School of Engineering and Science
As of June 1st, 2007, the science departments at Stevens --
Chemistry & Chemical Biology, Computer Science, Mathematical
Sciences, and Physics & Engineering Physics -- are under the
Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and
Science. The new school structure combines the four
science departments with four engineering departments: Chemical,
Biomedical, & Materials Engineering, Civil, Environmental,
& Ocean Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering,
and Mechanical Engineering. The Dean of the School of Engineering
and Science is Dr. Michael Bruno.
The Division of Humanities, previously under the School of
Sciences & Arts, is being restructured as the College of Arts and
Letters. Dr. James McClellan has been named the Dean of
the new College.
New Web Sites for the Science Departments
The web pages for the science departments are being migrated to
the School of Engineering and Science web site at http://www.stevens.edu/ses/. During this transition
the web sites for the science departments can be accessed through
the navigation on the left-hand side of this page.
Proceedings of the 6th Annual ISSA Graduate Conference
This one-day conference, held on the Stevens campus in April 2007,
featured research results from graduate students in the School of
Sciences and Arts. Organized and co-sponsored by the Graduate Student
Societies in Chemistry & Chemical Biology, Computer Science,
Mathematics, and Physics, this year's event featured Wilson
Richardson of The Climate Project as the keynote speaker.
